About GDA Greece
The Game Developer Association of Greece is a collective initiative for the development and evolution of the game dev industry in Greece. Despite the presence of plenty of professional game devs in Greece, even more amateurs, as well as Greek game devs abroad, past collective initiatives have been few and far between, and the Association is filling this need.
The first elections took place in 2021 and efforts were immediately started to network, inform, record, train, fund and promote the game dev industry in Greece.
Activities
The Association has begun the following initiatives:

Monthly Newsletter for informing the subscribers on important industry news and Association activities,

Discord Server for networking and information exchange between all Greek game devs.

Monthly free seminars 'Level Up' with industry professionals across the world, on a broad range of topics.
Additionally, the following have been completed:

Booth at Nordic Game Spring 2022, in collaboration with the National Centre of Audiovisual Media and Communication.

Delegation sent to Gamescom 2022 in Cologne, Germany, with a booth promoting Greek games

Hellenic Game Awards 2023 co-organized with Gameathlon with two parts: Game of the Year (best Greek games published during the year) and Day-Zero (games with zero online presence until the awards)
The future
The association continues the efforts to bring Greek game devs closer, and to establish Greece as a country with a notable game dev industry that provides opportunities for new creators.
